Rabbi Dovid Gottlieb is a rebbe at Yeshivat Har Etzion and the rabbi and co-founder of Ganei Ha'ela, a new community planned for the suburbs of Beit Shemesh. Prior to making aliyah in August, 2010, R. Gottlieb was the rabbi of Congregation Shomrei Emunah, in Baltimore, MD. Since making aliyah R. Gottlieb has also taught at Yeshivat Shaalvim, and Yeshivat Ashreinu, Midreshet AMIT, and Mercaz Tiferet, and was commissioned by OU Press to write a book about the laws of Yom Tov.

R. Gottlieb received his rabbinic ordination from Yeshiva University’s Rabbi Isaac Elchanan Theological Seminary (RIETS), where he was also a member of their prestigious Wexner Kollel Elyon. R. Gottlieb has published numerous scholarly articles, co-edited two Torah publications, and in the winter of 2003 he authored Ateret Yaakov (Hebrew), a sefer of essays about a wide range of halachic topics
